Sorry for that. According to the service manual, it has ALC 892. Does that mean it will work with desktop solutions or not at all?

  1. Description of audio problem: No Available Output, this comes after an update to BIOS version, I attempted to remove previous Audio Fixes per the instructions, reinstalled via MultiBeast, did not remedy the problem. Any help is appreciated.
NOTE: I was able to get bluetooth audio working via headset, but I needed LILO Kext and AppleALC Kext loaded via EFI/Clover/kexts/other with rename HDAS to HDEF enabled in config (find 48444153 replace 48444546)

Trying to make my ALC892 audio work on a GA-H97N-WIFI board on 10.13.4 worked previously eve on 10.13.4 but then I had a failed security update event and it stopped working since then I got a clean ApplaHDA.kext and tried the CLoverALC method and then the Multibeast method with no success, I attached my IOreg and clover config.plist file, using the latest clover 4497.
Am I missing something, looking at the ioreg, the layout is 0, instead of 1 and 2, I tried select both 1 and 2 at the cloveralc install though. CloverALC command audio_cloverALC-130_v0.5.command was used, processor is Intel core i3 3.5 Ghz

I posted this originally in the wrong thread. Apologies for that.
So I had working audio up until my friend using my Hackintosh performed an update without asking me. I lost my HDMI, and the alternative DVI sound to my ACER monitor and my green audio jack no longer gives any sound output either.

Im running a GA-Z270X-Ultra Gaming with High Sierra,
4.2 GHz Intel Core i7
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 8191 MB

I performed a few different procedures/guides, always uninstalling the previous one tried, (to the best of my knowledge, though I have no doubt you will find the remnants of tried and failed ways). I can't remember which original guide I used back when I first got this all working.

Any help will be so appreciated.

macOS requires the 892 codec for standard audio jacks, disabled.
HDMI/DP audio, see HDMI Audio AppleHD/Post #1/II. AppleHDA HDMI Audio Methods

Those are the audio controllers, not the codecs; macOS sees the controllers

BIOS or macOS AppleHDA disabler

Yes.
Download the linked AppleHDA.kext
Copy AppleHDA.Kext/Contents/Resources/layout1.xml.zlib and Platform.xml.zlib to Desktop/Clevo892
Copy AppleHDA.Kext/Contents/Plugins/AppleHDAHardwareConfigDriver.kext/Contents/Info.plist to Desktop/Clevo892
Attach Clevo892

Hi Toleda, thanks for your help thus far.

BIOS or macOS AppleHDA Disabler
There is no AppleHDA disabler kext on my system and the BIOS doesn't let me enable / disable audio .
Windows has working audio.

I couldn't find the linked AppleHDA.kext - can you provide a direct link if I have the wrong one?
I've got an unpatched native one from the High Sierra installer dmg (I think). I've added that to the zip.

Requested Files

Note : My config.plist has been updated with a better SMBIOS for my Haswell chip. See zip.

Zip attached (Clevo892) has
1. AppleHDA_KEXT_FILES - contents requested from AppleHDA.kext in S/L/E
2. ACPI - 2x SSDTs attempted (one for Intel HD4600, the other for Nvidia) after following the guide as best I could.
3. The updated config.plist with SMBIOS change
4. The whole AppleHDA.kext from S/L/E
5. This forum post itself for ease of use

Further info:
In order to use my external display, I need to use NvidiaGraphicsFixup.kext, even without installing the Nvidia Web Drivers (which I can't use yet as I haven't patched my DSDT/SSDT to enable that).
In the readme for that kext - wondering if this is messing with it?
  • Allows to use ports HDMI, DP, Digital DVI with audio (Injects @0connector-type - @5connector-type properties into GPU)

I'm also using a bunch of FakePCIID kexts could those be messing with the 2x SSDT changes I made?
Understood that I don't actually need alot of these - the wifi ones especially aren't required as they aren't suited for my system.
Maybe I don't need any!

FakePCIID.kext
FakePCIID_AR9280_as_AR946x.kext
FakePCIID_BCM57XX_as_BCM57765.kext
FakePCIID_Broadcom_WiFi.kext
FakePCIID_Intel_GbX.kext
FakePCIID_Intel_HDMI_Audio.kext
FakePCIID_Intel_HD_Graphics.kext
FakePCIID_XHCIMux.kext

Cheers
