By the way, you can use even more dirty hack to make dualboot setup. I created ubuntu folder, put clover efi file here and named it GRUBX64.efi, which is perfect as I don't need to rename boot file each time.

Huh, that works? No other files around? I have Win10 and macOS dualbooting but windows keeps replacing the file on updates.

Can't seem to find a solution. Can you please walk me through of how to get this working?
Thanks in advance.

After obtaining shiki.kext and installing it with kext utility, I had to modify my boot flags to use shiki=25 to get iTunes, AppStore, and Messages to work without crashing. I can't remember but I think dalainsky's repo has the kext already. Try changing the boot flag if it's already there.

I use the EFI assembly from Steve Sheng.
He has more current kexts, as well as how much the other power management has understood.
The battery does hold longer.
For example, earlier Safari + some working applications: 3:00-3:30 from 100 to 5% of the battery.
Now, with the same tasks, the battery lasts about 5 hours.
Plus kext for the touchpad from tctien342.
Everything works great!

Make sure you actually read the Shiki.kext documentation regarding the various kernel flags that can affect its operation.

I solved the itunes crash problem by repairing permissions with Onyx for high sierra

I just redid my EFI based on your comment here and holy moly it fixed every issue I had! Touchpad and my wifi works every boot without needing to sleep! Performance seems great-- not quite as sluggish opening up xcode or logic pro. Thank you for this resource! I used the included voodoI2C kexts and not the ones from tctien and my gestures and scrolling work just like on a real mac!

I tried this but after reboot the trackpad doesn't work.

Can anyone recommend a good resolution setting for Hi DPI Mode for this computer. I am trying the native resolution but everything is taxing on my eyes. Thank you.
