Several kexts are not installed correctly, including ACPIBatteryManager.kext, as per kextcache output:
Kext rejected due to improper filesystem permissions: <OSKext 0x7feb51c19ca0 [0x7fffad581980]> { URL = "ACPIBatteryManager.kext/ -- file:///System/Library/Extensions/", ID = "org.rehabman.driver.AppleSmartBatteryManager" }
ACPIBatteryManager.kext does not authenticate; omitting.

Thanks, that fixed it. Looks like Kextbeast failed me, I won't be using that again.

sry, I have some problems such as 1)the screen brightness ,bluetooth(if not replace the wifi card the bluetooth can't work individual? i am using USB wifi) and lid are not working(created the DSDT already followed the guide)(!the DSDT already put inside the EFI/.../Patched).
2)I followed the guide to fix the iMessage but still not working such as iMessage,facetime are not working and iTunes will crash sometime but inside the system preferences iCloud is working.

Hi, I have dell 5368 with alc225 and I fixed headphone issues with this CodecCommander in HS 10.13.4. Give a try.

Existing issues

Headphone jack:
There is slight popping while using the headphone jack. Not sure how to fix this one, as it seems that all the tricks on similar platforms have not yielded any changes. Also, you will need to unplug and replug in headphones after wake from sleep. Fixes welcome!

I seem to be up and running Sierra well on my Inspiron laptop; I haven't tried the DSDT's and iMessage (etc.) yet, just glad to get this far with my laptop!

Anybody with a similar model try updating to the Security Update 2018-002 yet?
I gave it a quick go and had to double back when errors showed up, I haven't had a chance to try again and troubleshoot yet.

What errors?

No "Problem Reporting" files attached.
Read FAQ, "Problem Reporting" again. Carefully. Attach all requested files/output.

Use the gen_debug.sh tool mentioned in the FAQ, that way it is less likely you'll omit something.

I've updated per your request.

As Far as I can tell, the main difference is the quad core processor. In windows, the mainboard is still displaying a 6th/7th gen chipset. Other than that, I presume the devices are comparable, they're in the same body as well

I will attempt to build and create a working hack.
