Thanks man! it's worked for me! my board is Gigabyte X299 Aorus Gaminig 9.

What for one would need PMDRvr.kext for a else fully natively implemented Skylake-X CPU?

Use AppleALC 1.1.4 and Lilu 1.2.2. NvidiaGraphicsFixup 1.2.4 is obsolete with SMBIOS iMacPro1,1. Remove Voodoo Audio.

Maybe you need a different HDAU patch for Maxwell anyway.

Thanks @kgp I will try this.

Users of gtx960 and gtx970 has worked that patch, to see if I get information for my 980ti.

TO EVERYONE: Let's set our egos aside and appreciate the energy, expertise and talent that has gone into the guidance and support that KGP has so generously shared with us. Let's also appreciate that we're a community with the same goals. I, for one, have been able to build my system, thanks to the guide, something I wouldn't have been able to do by cobbling together information from various places. Each and every system, as we all know, is different, and each of us building our own systems will run into our own set of challenges. How could KGP possibly account for each and every snag along the way. We have no idea what goes on in his or anyone else's lives beyond the screen, and unless we're paying for a guaranteed product, we have to give KGP some latitude and patience as he helps us to the best of his abilities and intentions. I totally understand the need to vent, as I have done before, and I'm truly sorry if I gave offence to you, KGP. Know that I'm so grateful for your guide. I suggest we all try to take a more productive, patient and collaborative approach, rather than one of blaming and venting. This is a community, afterall, and one that I'd like to see flourish, so we can all make our kickass systems and enjoy them until the next upgrade.

Awesome reply, man! Appreciated!

Hmmm, Ok I can't seem to get the SSDT to even show slot one on the graphics card that is on slot one. it shows up as slot six. and the USB ports have issues with ejecting devices as soon as it goes to sleep even with the SSDT in.

I have no sleep wake issues without the SSDT at all, all my USB ports work fine, the patch limit was important though but other than that, everything feels normal.. my portable hard drives still show up as internal with or without the SSDT, but plugging it into a hub first before connecting it to a port in the system resolves that.

If you can help me overcome these issues with the SSDT ill be very happy and take back what i said :)

my friend kgp, I don't want to discredit you or your wonderful guide that has helped me bring this system to life, and I believe something like proper naming can certainly contribute to a proper functionality, however so far it has not been the case for me. weather I've implemented the SSDT correctly in the first place is another thing and I have received no help with that here.

Im willing to learn or be guided the right way to get it to work.

Thanks again!

Cheers

I am having this exact same problem with my 1080ti showing in slot 6 even though it is in slot 1. Any luck figuring this out yet? I’ll post anything I can get to work as well.

It shows up in slot 6 as long your SSDT is not properly working. Start with a minimal SSDT, which just contauns the HDEF, GFX0 and HDAU implementations.

Thank you for the quick reply! I’ll give it a shot tonight! Great guide by the way. Simplest explanation of hackintosh I’ve seen yet for pro-level Systems. Thank you for all the hard work compiling the guide!

Hello @kgp

I've started to implement the SSDT for the first time and as recommended I've done a step by step implementation. When I get to the Thunderbolt code it crashes it, I've been trying for a while but I can't figure it out :/ I would be really grateful if you (or anyone) could take a look and point me in the right direction.

Thanks! :D

Thanks for the awesome guide @kgp

I got everything running perfectly with a x299-deluxe and 7980 but had one quick question. In the guide it says to use PCIe slot 2 for the TBEX3 card, but then the hotplug section says to use slot 4. I have everything working in 2 except hotplug, but when I change to 4 (and change the bios setting to 4) the TB isn't working at all. I'm using your 10.13.4 EFI Is there something else I need to change to set it all up for slot 4 and hotplug?

Thanks so much...this machine is awesome.

Reminds me of a time when RehabMan was critical of something I posted. He said I needed to add a lot more info before he could help me. I replied and said thanks but at the moment I was just venting, not calling out for help. Many MANY thanks to everyone on this thread especially @kgp for the guide and in my case Izo1 and DSM2 for the differences dealing with the Designaire EX motherboard.

If it's the first time you use the TB3 card then yes, you must boot under windows first.
But *very important* make sure to start windows with nothing plugged to the TB3 card at first.
Install the intel thunderbolt drivers (use the latest from your thunderbolt card manufacturer). Once the drivers are installed, plugged a TB device to the TB card.
From that point on, the TB card will work everywhere.

It's important to first boot the machine without anything plugged to the TB card. If not, everything will be as if the TB card wasn't present.

Thanks. I installed the drivers, etc., and replaced the cords, but it doesn’t always work and crackles.

I’ll try taking it out and reinstalling the drivers on Windows, then turning off the computer and plugging the card back in, then booting up Windows and plugging the thunderbolt cord back into the Arrow. I doubt the crackling will go away, but I’ll try. Any thoughts on using a different position for the TB3 card?
