pastrychef's Asus ROG Strix Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) build w/ i9-9900K + AMD 6600 XT

Verbose output is same again but I saw something with .kext but I cant scroll upwars in the verbose mode

Is it possible to video the booting and scan through to find the message about kext? I don't know what is causing this issue and any clue will be helpful.

Another thought... Do you have another USB flash drive you could try? There has been cases where some USB flash drives just refuse to work...

Please give me until tomorrow. I will pull my video card and try to reproduce your problem.

Okay.... wait can it be because my ram or because I have windows in raid on the 2 m2 slots?

I don't know if having Windows on a RAID using the M.2 slots can cause the problem.

I just pulled my video card and re-tested the EFI for Intel UHD630 in post #1 and I had no problems booting in to my USB flash drive with High Sierra installer. Something has to be wrong on your end.

Also, I checked the BIOS settings and you were right, the directions on post #1 read:
Advanced/Intel Virtualization Technology - Enabled

It should have been:
Advanced/CPU Configuration/Intel Virtualization Technology - Enabled

I have made the correction.

I tested and can confirm that FileVault works perfectly on this build. I have updated post #1 with instructions.

*Note: I have only tested with a USB keyboard. I don't know if it works with Bluetooth keyboards. It would be appreciated if anyone with a Bluetooth keyboard can confirm if it works or not. TIA.

I'm having problems with my build. It has been running fine for a week, then all of a sudden it freezes, and eventually reboots. I've checked the temperature in bios immediately after, but it is fine - around 50. As soon as it happened the first time, it happens all the time, after about 1 minute after I've logged in.
I can't seem to find anything in the system log. Any ideas where I could check for errors

In BIOS, I usually see about 34-38C CPU temp. But 50C is nowhere near hot enough to cause problems. What CPU cooler are you using?

Since it runs fine for a week, it doesn't sound like a hackintosh configuration problem and is more likely some sort of hardware issue.

Are you overclocked? Perhaps your CPU requires more voltage to be stable or you may need to lower the overclock slightly. Does this happen at stock clocks?
