[Guide] Dell XPS 13 9360 on MacOS Sierra 10.12.x - LTS (Long-Term Support) Guide

@bozma88 @jkbuha - Hey guys. I was wondering if you guys tested High Sierra at all? I updated all the kexts and booted into installer - however my nvme drive didn't show up. I assume I need another patch for nvme - I have 4k formatted Toshiba.
While in disk utility input CMD+2 to show drives, not only volumes as by default. Then you might see your SSD on the list. 4k Toshiba is supported natively since Sierra with no patches or any dsdt mods needed.

If nothing happened, then open terminal, type diskutil list and look at disk0, it should be your SSD. If there is something else, probably you haven't followed the guide thoroughly, especially the bios settings part with ahci.

In December I tried HS and it seemed to boot and recognise both SATA and NVME drive without issues.
Unfortunately I am hugely overloaded with my business and I'm having an hard time keeping up with High Sierra. I need my XPS to work and since 10.12.6 is incredibly stable I am still running on it.

As soon as I have time I'll report back more thoroughly.
In the meantime, the great @the-darkvoid has put up a full guide to run HS on this very same laptop.
___

As for bluetooth-after-wake issue, it's still unresolved for me.
In the meantime, I managed to track down the correct JST connector model to make use of the empty USB port on the mainboard, and a micro USB Bluetooth adapter that works on MacOS out-of-the-box. Not an optimal solution but it seems to work way way more reliably. I'll report back soon.

+1. Same thoughts really. I'm running 10.12.6 on the XPS and 10.13.2 on a 2016 Macbook, and of the two - Sierra is far more stable. When HS gets to 10.13.3, I'll try it on the XPS but for now I'm enjoying the performance.

DarkVoid has a great installer and repo for HS on the 9360 set up at https://github.com/the-darkvoid/XPS9360-macOS.

Oh, and interesting side-fact. The new 9370 has the Killer Wireless card soldered onto the mainboard, so upgrading to a macOS friendly WLAN card is all but dead...

As a side-note, can anyone who's updated to 2.5.0 run Geekbench? Interested to see what the before/after scores are with the CPU fix in place...

I hope those will be ok, 2.5.0 bios.

Yep, seen that. So sad. And they reduced the battery from 60wh to 54wh.
The best solution as for now is to pick an 8th-gen 9360 while still available...

I don’t see @the-darkvoid ‘s guide in the High Sierra guides. Is it on a different site?
