Instead of relying on NvidiaGraphicsFixup.kext, try using one of the alternate "Black Screen Fixes" from: Black Screen with MacPro 6,1 or iMac 15 or iMac 17 System Definition | tonymacx86.com

I know that I had to remove NvidiaGraphicsFixup.kext in High Sierra for IGPU acceleration to work.

I removed NvidiaGraphicsFixup.kext, it boot but still no hardware acceleration, I even removed all kext in / kext / other that boot without problem, but no hardware acceleration
