Integrated and Discrete Graphics, Working Together

Hi toleda,

Redirecting from https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...intel-hd4600-for-macos-sierra-10-12-6.228636/ as you suggested, I followed these steps:

BIOS
  1. Advanced Menu
    1. System Agent Configuration
      1. Primary Display/Init Display First, etc.
        1. IGPU

I couldn't find IGPU option in Gigabyte GA-297X-UD3H but I found Initial Display Output options in Peripherals section where there are IGFX, PCIe 1 Slot, PCIe 2 Slot, etc. So assuming IGPU = IGFX, I set IGFX. And then followed

Settings
  1. BIOS/AMI/Advanced/System Agent
    1. Enable Integrated Graphics
    2. Set Integrated Graphics(examples)
      1. Init Display First: IGPU
      2. Primary Display: IGPU
  2. HD4600/8 Series/Haswell
    1. Framebuffer: IGPlatformID=0D220003
    2. SysDef: macbookpro11, macbookair6, imac14

Installation (Step 1 or Step 2, not both)
  1. Bootloader Settings (With dsdt or ssdt HDMI audio, see 2. DSDT Edits)
    1. Clover/config.plist
      1. Graphics
        1. ig-platform-id
          1. HD4600: 0D220003
      2. SMBIOS
        1. automatic, no entry required

Then Restart. But after that display doesn't show any gigabyte bootup information and 4-5 seconds it directly jump to mac loading screen and my mac opened. Then I checked Syetem Report->Graphics and it doesn't show Intel HD4600 Graphics .

I understand that display doesn't show any gigabyte bootup information because my HDMI cable is connected to graphics card's HDMI port, not the motherbord's HDMI port. What should I do?

Thanks.

Working together means displays connected to both integrated and discrete graphics. For one display connect to discrete only, see Post #1/For discrete graphics as primary ...

Does that mean I have to use dual monitor? Is it possible to have it on single display?

Ok. Got it. But tell me one thing, my previous customMac was EL Captain 10.11.6 with Nvidia GT 610 & Intel HD graphics 4600 and the monitor's vga cable was connected to discrete graphics card's vga port only. And that time it shows all together in About Mac & Graphics Section. So the mac wasn't using the HD graphics at all?

Hey there!
I have successfully installed High Sierra (almost vanilla, only added PS2 support, audio the Nvidia drivers) on my PC and have full acceleration on my GTX 1070 using the web drivers.
I have two monitors: one is HDMI and connected to the GPU and the other one is an old VGA connected to the motherboard.

My motherboard has an option to use both together and it works perfectly on Windows, as if they were connected to the same GPU (found out this was possible about two weeks ago and it blew my mind).

Can I do this on my Hackintosh using this guide?

By the way, thank you a lot, your guides and kexts really helped me get my Hackintosh working!
