THANK YOU. This did it for me.

I was going into a reboot loop as I didn't update the Nvidia drivers beforehand (or uninstall it to reinstall later). Once I disabled the kext as per instructions, I rebooted to home screen, without graphics acceleration , updated Nvidia drivers and it worked!!

Since you can't install the updated webdrivers without first having installed the supplemental update this seems the easiest way to do it (without uninstalling a reinstalling). Thanks!

I dunno about anyone else... The new Nvidia Web Driver was released tonight for compatibility with the supplemental update. I am resorting to using pacifist to install the Nvidia Driver... I keep getting the error during install and i hate rebooting to turn sip Allow untested kexts off. With pacifist I just highlight all the drivers and prefpane components and install them.. I then run kextcache -i / from terminal

I reboot and everything works. saves having to reboot twice. just lazy i guess..

Downloaded and installed the update package.
At boot disabled "Allow untested kexts"
Booted from the installer
Rebooted "allow untested kexts"
Installed the updated driver
Voila~works Thanks Rotting for figuring this out and wolfie81 for asking the question.

It worked smoothly for me. I did those steps:
1. Uninstall the Nvidia Web Driver through the control panel.
2. Mount the EFI-Partition and replace the apfs.efi in /EFI/Clover/drivers64UEFI/ with the new one: apfs.efi.zip
3. Start downloading the update and restart.
4. When you see the Clover menu, choose Mac OS Install not Mac OS. If you do that, you will end up on the same version as before.
5. When your Computer restarts and you are able to lock back in, go and start downloading and install the new Nvidia Web Driver.
6. Restart and it should work.
New Nvidia Web. Driver: https://images.nvidia.com/mac/pkg/378/WebDriver-378.10.10.10.15.117.pkg
Hope you succeed :D

With the updated NVidia drivers for this Supplemental Update, I uninstalled the existing NVidia drivers before going through the upgrade. Rebooted after this upgrade, installed the latest nvidia drivers... rebooted again only to KP. On restart, I chose to disable hibernate wake... then did I get to get back to an accelerated desktop. Probably, a re-touch and flushing of the kext caches would help avoid that KP.

No it only does that to systems with SSD. If you have an HDD it keeps it HFS
I have an SSD, earlier replier Sombra said this supplemental update does not convert it:
I elected not to change my NVME drive to APFS on my upgraded from 10.12.6 to 10.13. I just rechecked after performing this minor update and can confirm that this update did not convert my NVME drive to APFS.

All good now! I had been trying to disable the nvidia web driver, but hadn't tried uninstalling it. Uninstalled it from the nvidia driver manager control panel, rebooted, ran the high sierra supplemental update, updated successfully, installed the updated nvidia web driver, and am back to 100% functional. Thanks!!
No need to uninstall previous drivers. You can temporary override it on the Clover boot screen. Click options and swap bootflag nvda_drv=1 to nv_disable=1. Hit return...back on your boot drive hit spacebar and untick 'use Nvidia webdriver', than boot osx with selected options.

Update went smooth too, only needed to fix the sound again.
I have to say, with the new HS its easier to get the sound working.

Just run the CloverALC 130 script, reboot and its working.
on El Capitan I had a lot of problems before, now none!
