For ease of reference, this is my system:

MSI X299 SLI Plus
i7 7800X 6-core 4.0Ghz
MSI Getorce 1050Ti 4Gb
32Gb Corsair DDR4 2400(2x16) Memory
Broadcom BCM4360 Desktop PCIe wifi wireless WLAN Bluetooth BT 4.0 Card to Apple

I experimented last night, trying to get OSX High Sierra onto my system. I used these two threads as the basis of the build.

I got a lot of failures, most prominent one being
"Couldn’t Allocate Runtime Area Errors". Any advice on how to fix this?

Then, around 23h00 last night, it managed to go all the way through to the Mac Os Installer function.

But the interface was RIDICULOUSLY slow. It would take almost 2 minutes for a single click to process. I tried to format my SSD to the new Apple format (APFS or something). It formatted, but didn't want to mount. I then left it overnight, hoping that this morning the interface would maybe cache or something so I can get the install going. Unfortunately it decided to freeze instead. And then when I restarted, I was back to the first error, Runtime Area.

This morning, I'm going to start clean, and try to log all the changes I make. I will also keep updating this post. But all and any advice would be appreciated.

For now I have the following questions:
What do I put in the FakeCPUID slot? Currently I'm leaving it empty.
I'm also using the Mac Pro 6,1 system. Should I be using something else?

Thanks everyone,

So here is what I've managed to achieve thus far:
Boot into Clover
Open MacOS Installer
Formatted Samsung SSD to APFS
Install High Sierra Beta 4 onto SSD, first and second time.
Reboot into clover, but then I don't get the option to boot using the SSD.
So I redid the process - reformatted the SSD to Mac Journalled, and did the first part of the install.
Booted back into clover, now I can see the SSD again. But when I select the SSD to do the install, it gives me the "Couldn’t Allocate Runtime Area Errors" again. I've tried almost everything on this site including:
Tried all 3 OsxAptioFix versions. Used slide settings, and slide calculator. Added CPU=1. The previous time, combining CPU=1 with OsxAptioFix2Drvfree2000.efi worked, but this time I'm stumped.

Please help, it feels like I'm so close!

Further update.

I managed to get rid of the OsxAptioFix error again by the CsrAcrtiveConfig from 03 to 67.
Went through the entire installation process. Then, after High Sierra is installed onto the SSD, the system reboots into Clover, and then I can't select the Os installation. Only the USB and Windows installations are available.

Could it be an issue with the SSD?
Please help!

Thanks for your advice Pete,

I'm going to start downloading the latest Sierra build while I keep trying to crack this.

I've managed to "find" the Boot Drive by adding apfs.epi. Now when I click on the Boot drive to log into High Sierra, I get a "Error loading Kernel Cache 0x9" error. It also says something about "failed to load inode", but I'm not finding anything on that.

Hopefully I can crack this thing before it cracks me!
All the best.

I can't wait to buy the 7920X and have a 12/24 Core CPU overclocked to 4.6/4.7 Ghz.

Man I can't wait

Hey everyone.

I'm officially stuck.

There's absolutely nothing on the net regarding this error.

I've managed to install High Sierra. When I try to boot into the newly created boot disk, this error comes up. I've experimented with 4 different config.plist (generic from Tonymac, pete1959, kgp (from his perfect customac build) and ptzulu). They all give me the exact same screen, which tells me the error is caused before it even gets to the plist file.

Please help!

Disable Kernel Cache in config.plist
-f

Tried that in clover. No joy. Would it make a difference if I did it in Clover Configurator? If, please tell me how to do it.
