4540S LCD Screen (1080p replacement)

Hi, I am about to upgrade my 4540s with the AUO V4 1080p screen (which I currently have working on my 4530s) and I want to make sure I am getting the correct cable, part number: 50.4RY03.001. Is there anyway to tell a dual link cable from a non dual link cable?

I am looking at purchasing this cable:

Is states the part number is 50.4RY03.001, so I should be OK?

Is there a guide for the 4540s, as the 4540s Maintenance and Service Guide is quite different from the 4530s Maintenance and Service Guide?

Guide is post #1 (order cable, order screen, replace cable+screen). Entire process is very similar to the 4530s.
Keep in mind you will need correct ACPI configuration.

The 4530s would have you buying the wrong cable.
Disassembly is perfectly covered in the maintenance guide provided by HP.

I already have the correct cable (hopefully) quoted in this thread.
Also, my 4530s currently has a 1080p screen with a dual link cable, working fine. My question is can I leave the dual link cable in the 4530s and re-fit the old 768 standard screen back on the laptop with the dual link cable (this will save me a lot of work leaving the dual link cable in tact) ?

Yes, I think so.
Never tested that scenario though, so I guess you'll find out...

Yes, it works, dual link cable with old standard 768 screen.
