No reply with attachment since my post #17.

Here's the attachment man. Changed the config.plist to one with a smaller SMBIOS as advised.

Still the same error persists (osxaptiofixdrv 2 lines of death).

Thanks for the help.

EFI/Clover/kexts is not per guide... FakeSMC.kext is not the version linked by my guide
Your Clover build is relatively old.
Fix those two issues and retry.
You also might try Clover legacy...

Also, attach output of 'lspci -nn' in Linux Terminal.

Done what you suggested and still the same osxaptiofixdrv 2 lines error persist.

Attached is the new EFI folder after the changes.

Windows is already installed in UEFI, so I'd really like to avoid clover Legacy.

Can you please provide tips on how to run linux terminal without having Linux installed?

Thanks!

Try Clover legacy... it just just a matter of installing Clover legacy on the USB and trying it. Sometimes tests are done to further isolate the issue. This is one of those cases.

You can run Ubuntu directly from USB... no need to install.

Hey... I have just tried to boot legacy, however I am unable to reach clover when doing so.

Even though the USB drive is selected as the boot device, the notebook takes me to a bios utility after the dell initial screen. I created a new MBR flash drive, with two partitions as instructed in the guide.

Booting the same media via UEFI results in the same old osxaptiofixdrv error.

EDIT: After 3 more tries in UEFI (without changing any settings on config, files on the USB drive or anything else), I was able to boot into the installer, but there was absolutely no backlight on the display. With the help of a flashlight, I was able to go through the installation without problems.

After installation, however, I am stuck on the 2 lines of death again. I didn't change anything on BIOS or on the USB drive and the error is happening again.

Now what? lol

Did you enable legacy boot in bios?

You should probably use an invalid ig-platform-id until you can resolve the backlight issue.
Also your profile does not indicate screen resolution (see FAQ).

No EFI/Clover, no idea.

Yes. But it didn't help...

OK! Updated the profile with the monitor resolution and will change the config.plist file to an invalid ig-platform-id.
Quick question. If I change it manually during clover boot, does it override the config.plist id?

No EFI/Clover, no idea.
Ok. Please, find it attached.

Yes. But it didn't help...

Then your USB was created incorrectly (make sure you read the guide carefully regarding legacy Clover installation).

Nothing attached.

Please, look again. I messed up uploading the file first time.

Thank you.

Must be some strange BIOS setting or memory map issue. Try with legacy (read the guide carefully).

You should try without HFSPlus.efi (VBoxHFS.efi instead) and/or with OsxAptioFix2Drv-64.efi.
Also, you're missing DataHubDxe-64.efi (sometimes needed), and EmuVariableUefi-64.efi (most of the time needed with Skylake)
