Hey there,

I just bought an ASUS ROG GL553VW and I'm trying to install Sierra on it.

I'm stuck at the formatting the disk part. It doesn't recognise my 256 GB SSD nor my 1 TB HDD. I can only erase my Unibeast USB. What can I do ?

I already disabled the BIOS settings below :
VT-d, disabled
CFG-Lock, can't find it
Secure Boot Mode, disabled
Set OS Type to Other OS, can't find it
If your system has IO SerialPort, can't find it
Set XHCI Handoff to Enabled, can't find it either.

Please note that it's my first thread and I already tried to look it up on google or other threads.

If you need more specification just tell me, I don't know what can be useful in this case.

Thanks !

Your profile is not filled out per FAQ.

Please fix.
Also attach 'lspci -nn' from Linux Terminal as verification.

Done (I think).
I'm having a hard time installing OS Sierra. I tried the CLOVER method as advised by feartech and I didn't even reach the selecting languages options, it just freezes near the end of the 1st black screen.
I also tried booting Ubuntu from a USB Drive and it also stops "installing", so I can't get that command from the Terminal.

Boot into Clover. Press F2 (and Fn+F2) at the main Clover screen. You will find EFI/Clover/misc/preboot.log.

Attach EFI/Clover folder as ZIP (omit 'themes' folder).

Is that the file you wanted ? I didn't get any confirmation when pressing F2 and Fn+F2 at the main Clover screen.
By the way, thank you for being so reactive I didn't expected an answer so fast.

I think my file wasn't uploaded the first time

No confirmation expected. It just creates preboot.log.

Your preboot.log shows you have both Intel HD530 and Nvidia.
Your profile is inaccurate... please fix.

Follow the Clover guide linked from the FAQ.

Fixed,

This time, I get pass the Apple logo and get to choose the languages but the problem with "Disk Utility" is still the same, it only shows my USB drive.

I looked at the DVMT-prealloc in the BIOS and it's at 128.
