Began buying parts for my Hackintosh build, got the motherboard, GPU, case, and slowly getting there. One component I am kind of torn on at this point is the CPU.
I realize that the 7700k Kaby Lake processor is not currently supported. From what I am reading, it seems like it is inevitable that eventually I will be able to get Hackintosh to boot with the 7700k. The 6700K has a base of 4.0 and can be boosted to 4.2, the 7700K starts ay 4.2 and can be overclocked to 4.5. That's a good chunk of improvement in my book.
It wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if I had to run on Windows only for some time before I can install Hackintosh on my second SSD. I have a MacBook Pro so I wouldn't be completely out of the Mac system.
I do realize that it is risky cause there is technically a chance it will never be supported. I just don't know how long approximately the timeline would be. Anyone have an idea?
