[Guide] Lenovo Y580 - El capitan (10.11) using Clover UEFI

Hi everyone! I'm new here and I tried to read as much as possible but I'm not really sure how installing for example Sierra should be done. Can anyone share their Clover configuration with most of the devices of Y580 configured properly? Or is the package from the opening post working well with it?

Hello there, I want to ask if this guide is compatible with Lenovo G510, also it's impossible to upgrade from App Store? Thx.

I had a lot of problems getting a working set of EFI files onto a USB which would allow me to install Sierra via USB, rather than installing El Cap and then upgrading. I tried lots and lots of different methods but ran into different problems with the install each time. (timeouts, crashes etc, freezes etc) Jesser's EFI.zip file provided on this thread for El Capitan did not work for me for Sierra and Unibeast method did not work either. So here is my fully-working Sierra EFI.zip for the Y580. Hopefully this will help someone out there as it is took me aeons to get to this point. (This also works with El Cap)

Is there any way to install El Capitan on Y580 after mac os Sierra release? Upgrading in iStore to El Capitan is no longer available (unless you want to upgrade from snow leopard, if anyone uses it now) and downloading El Capitan upgrade app from sources other than iStore ends up with Invalid installation app error. Only machine I can use to make an USB is running Yosemite now, and I can't really get another one.

Sorry, if I'm writing in wrong thread, if so, please tell me and I'll write somewhere else, I just need to install OS X on my Y580 as quickly as possible, and lack of information about making USB boot drives puts me in a bit of impasse. Also if somebody answered this question so far, please point me just where to look for.

If you previously downloaded 10.11 against your Apple ID, you can still download it from the Purchases tab in the Mac App Store.

If not, you would need to find someone who did.

I'm using a Lenovo P580 with an i5-3210m @ 2.50 GHz and 6 GB RAM, HD4000 graphics. I've used the guide here, although I had to create a regular UniBeast install USB stick and modify the EFI partition. Before I kept getting the "(disk) is not a valid volume install point message.". Still, how do I undo the duplicated screens like this?

UPDATE: Nevermind. I used 01660003, the chimera default, and now I have 1.5 GB of graphics.

I have a fully working bluetooth setup on my el capitan, but only if the bluetooth has been left on in my linux installation. if I turn it off, then boot into el cap, it just refuses to initialise. I have scoured these forums but have yet to come up with a solution. How can I get round my "bluetooth not available" message ?
