Hi. I posted recently and was redirected to this thread. I noticed this thread before I posted, but was unsure if this was related or not. I am working on something close but slightly different. I noticed on this thread that Aggregate Devices is being used - see the screen shots.

I am looking to get a couple of recording devices to connect using aggregate devices - so it's not a "5.1" issue. I hope you guys can help.

I cannot for the life of me get the Aggregate Devices to work on any of my hackintoshes (tried two different ones). The recording devices (a saffire 6 usb and Digitech RP250) both work with Aggregate Devices on my 'true' macbook. Both work individually - without aggregate devices, but not together at the same time.

I am able to get both devices to recognize while using Aggregate Devices, but cannot get either to record or put out audio.

Any thoughts on this, anyone? I can send specs on my main hackintosh machine this evening if you need them.

Hi. I am hopeful that you can help. I've looked over this guide a few times and have tried many different things. I am unable to get the Aggregate Devices to work on my hackintosh. I have a Gigabyte z77 -D3h with 32gb ram Yosemite i7. I use it to record music. I am able to use each device separately but cannot combine them. Or more accurately, i can combine them but they do not actually record. Garageband does not pick up the audio. Thoughts?

Why are you combining inputs with outputs?

audio is working in 2.0, i want to activate 5.1 multichannel.
i patched realtek driver in windows 10 and it works now in awesome dts with optical cable on av amp.
i would like to do the same in osx.

i tried many things for many hours... now i'm desperate to find a solution.
you asked me to come here and ask again, and so did i.

i don't want to use analog surround, i want to use optical spdif 5.1 dts.
right now i have optical spdif 2.0 working fine.

i used to select 5.1 multichannel on my mac mini, so is it possible to patch something in the os to do the same thing here?
is there anyone out there who already managed to do 5.1 optical spdif on a customac?
if so, please help!
