Where did you get this link?
There was no release for this f03, so we can't say it's final just because 'there's an F'. Also, this "Includes BETA support for iMac and MacBook Pro systems with NVIDIA graphics" has been on every release note since 2015 (e.g: http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/96781/en-us).
Also: Don't hold your breath, there's no Pascal support in this f03.

I have a 1070. Forget about acceleration, can't even get 1080 resolution in sierra. Its stuck in 1024 resolution. My another skylake build has the 530 accelerated. Not sure if I should drop this to get a Rx 480. Saw in another thread that many people were able to get the 480 accelerated. Although not my primary job, but I have to use fcpx from December. Should I let go of 1070 and get a 480 or play the waiting game ? please share your opinions.

I am planning to get a 280x for this build. May be its possible to boot windows using 1070 and mac using 280x ?

Disabling will force the BIOS to use the UEFI driver on your GPU instead of the (crappy) CSM. The Pascal UEFI driver is able to display resolutions up to 5K, and OS X will be able to use that. Obviosuly you won't have any acceleration in OS X, just the basic 2D EFI driver.

First of all, it's actually possible to use a, for example, a GTX 1070 on windows and, for example, a RX 480 on MacOS using your BIOS (don't remember how though). And second, if your main focus is to use FCPX and play games on MacOS, get the RX 280x or the RX 480 (it will give you much better performance). Why? Because, FCPX prefers OpenCL rather then CUDA (which is what Nvidia uses), because of Apple going for team red rather than team green.

Hope this helps your decision on what to do with your Hackintosh.

Hey thanks. I know about cuda/opencl. couple of years back, I used r9 370x on my z77 build & it smoked fcpx then. After that I tried gtx 780 ti.It wasn't as good as the cheap r9 370x but it was okay. I know that 280x is oob. So one option is to get the 280x and use it together with the 1070. Another option is to just drop the 1070 and get an rx 480.

I hope this works- I just emailed NVIDIA PR: :geek::ugeek::mrgreen:

Big fan of NVIDIA GeForce cards- I run a site called tonymacx86.com which specializes in helping people build computers and install macOS on generic PC hardware. I was hoping to get in contact with someone at NVIDIA regarding macOS Web Drivers.

There is huge pent up demand in our community for your new lineup of cards, the Pascal GeForce GTX 1070 and 1080. Unfortunately there is no Pascal driver included in your Web Driver package, so we are forced to recommend the older 9xx series to new builders. We think if you were to add Pascal support it would help NVIDIA’s manufacturing partners to sell a lot of graphics cards.

If you have any information, or if you can forward this email to the proper channel I’d be very appreciative.

Sincerely,

-tonymacx86

This implies your monitor has multiple inputs ofcourse.
Yes, you're right. I know that's not a feature all users have. The workaround being to always shut down instead of reboot, and swap cables when the machine is off. Not very convenient, I know. But easier than swapping graphics cards or living with 1920x1200 max resolution! I have a 4K monitor and looking at 1080p was making my eyes bleed, so I gave this a try and it's working well for me. Only lost a little cooling potential when gaming, but I got a new case so that's not too big of an issue.
