Comments

First of all, I’m a newbie, so feel free to comment if there is a better way, to do so.
I’m not a native English speaker, so don’t expect Shakespeare.
It’s based in edenpulse’s post: http://www.tonymacx86.com/user-buil...-i7-4790-gtx-770-16gb-yosemite-10-10-1-a.html

I used Unibeast 5.0.2 following the tonymac's guide: http://www.tonymacx86.com/yosemite-...-x-yosemite-any-supported-intel-based-pc.html

BIOS Settings:
F6 Version.
- Load the default settings
- Disable VT-d
- Set xHCI Auto mode
- Disable Intel Processor Graphic (I don’t need it)
- Activate xHCI Hand-Off
- Activate EHCI Hand-Off
- Set the config. SATA AHCI
- Set the Memory mode to "More stability" ( if not : random freezes)

Installation process:
Remove the GTX 970 (I used an old ATI HD 5870 instead, but i think you can use the integrated Intel one.) if not it freezes all the time.
I didn’t try with the 2 x 8GB Ram modules plugged, but I removed one just in case to avoid problems.

PHP Code:
PHP:
boot with -no-zp

-no-zp” avoids a kernel panic “deadbeef”, I tried to understand what exactly do but I didn’t find much information about. It’s something related with zone positioning, but sincerely I don’t know wtf this means, I someone can explain to me, I would pleased to read it. Anyway, this kernel panic its a bit random for me, sometimes the installation booted perfectly and sometimes not.
The installation went fast and smooth, without any problem. I disconnected the ethernet cable just in case, because edenpulse had some problems because of it.
The integrated sound card don’t work, it’s a “Realtek ALC887”, so I think you can install the proper kext, but I d’not really need it, because I use an external one.
The ATI HD 5870 works out of the box but I’ll replace it for my new brand GTX 970 later.

MultiBeast for Yosemite v7.1.1:
Bootloaders>Chimera v4.0.1
Drivers> Misc> FakeSMC Plugins
Drivers> Misc> FakeSMC HWMonitor Application
Drivers> Intel> RealtekRTL8111 v1.2.2

Without any flag at all
I installed my own DSDT.aml but I don’t see any difference at all.
Temperatures are perfect, so I think CPU power management is working natively.
Ethernet doesn’t work without loading from USB, so I installed the “RealtekRTL8111 v1.2.2”.
Sleep & wakes work.

Nvidia GTX 970:
Download the last version of the official Nvidia driver here:
http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/78853/en-us

Once the driver is installed, put the GTX 970, and you will see the nvidia icon in the bar menu. Select NVIDIA Web Driver, it seems to work works perfectly, even HDMI.
The only thing you have to do I think, is patching something related with the HDMI (if not, you have to replug the cable, evertime you reboot the computer), but this can be solved with something called "ResetHDA” in clover.

Finally I created a SMBios.plist (Using Chameleon Wizard) in order to identify the machine as a MacPro 3.1, but I think you can selected in multibeast.

That’s all!

Ups! sorry, I edited my post.
I used Unibeast because I followed the tonymac's clover guide step by step but I'm not able to boot the installation from the USB yet.

OK. Did you use MultiBeast's Quick Start > DSDT Free? (See page 3 of the MultiBeast Features document that comes with MultiBeast.)

Hi, I'm simplifiyng the guide and trying to make it better with screenshots and mor accurate, please feel free to delete it if you want, if not i'll improve it i a few days. ;)

This guide works but I can do it better.

OK. Did you use MultiBeast's Quick Start > DSDT Free? (See page 3 of the MultiBeast Features document that comes with MultiBeast.)

Regarding to your question, the only options that I selected are the ones below:

Bootloaders>Chimera 4.0.1
Drivers>Misc>FakeSMC v6.11.1328

I encourage you to improve it. I find myself rewriting my build descriptions months later because I read it with a fresh mind, and I find ways to say things better.

With respect to pictures and screen snapshots, use your Profile's Album feature. You can upload them there - make sure you make the Album(s) public - and use the provided BBCode links to copy and paste into your build description.

Finally, I recommend you take a look at the MultiBeast Features document, page 3, as tonymacx86 and MacMan made the 8/9-series motherboards work very well with the DSDT-Free option. Then, you need only to add your audio & Ethernet drivers (kexts). After you get your system working, you can chose a different System Definition, FakeSMC plugs for the HWMonitor app and other "tuning" options.
