This weekend i started to assemble the CustoMac Pro as per the buyer's guide with the below listed parts.
After finishing assembling i wanted to start install the os, but i did not get any picture, only the mobo showed 55 and restarted itself after 10-15 seconds repeatedly.
After some googling i found out that error 55 is releated to memory, so i tried to switch to different slots, going thru all possible combinations of the 4 slots i.e. 1+2;3+4;2+4;1+3; etc., without any success. Even with no ram in the slots i had a error 55, with the sole difference that it went faster to error 55 and restarting again. I also changed the Fan slots for the CPU Watercooler, both for pump and fan, with the same results, error 55 with no screen at all.
I have been very careful when assembling the machine, allways wearing a wrist for grounding to avoid any static electricity.
So i am now a bit lost for reasons why it wont work, except that the mobo might be faulty.
As i found other people having had sucess with the same specs i have, i doubt that the ram is not working with this mobo. Some on ****** said that skylake i7 6700K would only work with 2133MHz Ram.
Has anyone run into the same problems or knows a bit more then i do? Any suggestions on how i could solve it are appreciated!

There is no Crucial memory on the QVL for your motherboard.
Solution = Use supported memory.

Ok i was thinking that the Ram suggest in the buyer's guide should be compatible with the mobo suggested.
Thanx for you reply, i will then get another kit and look how that works out.

I'm running Crucial (16Gb Kit 2x8) Ballistix Sport LT DDR4 2400MHz here without issue.

What i dont understand is why would they suggest the RAM i got when they dont work. I take it that you got your Ram according to the suggestions in the Buyer's Guide? ANd your Rams are from the sam manufactorer and run on 2400MHZ, same pins etc just 2x8GB instead of 2x16GB like mine, that buggers me a bit and i'm reluctant to buy any other RAM as of now.
So it could be a faulty MOBO? I contacted Gigabyte now and hope to get a answer from them asap.
Thank you for your info!

Just checked th Crucial Webside and they give a thumbs up for th Ram i have, so guess it's probably the MOBO that's faulty.

For two modules according to the manual you can place them in DD4-1 and DD4-2, or DD4-3 and DD4-4. Just be aware either of these configuration leaves a blank space between the memory slots.

Ok i will try that first thing tomorrows, do you have also the 2x 16GB Crucial Ballistix Sport LT White?

That's what i started with 1+2, no luck likewise 3+4 no luck. I'm guess it might really be a faulty MOBO. I try with one Ram as Matey suggested and look if that makes any difference. If not then i might contact the seller.
Thank you guys, i'm reporting back what went down!

Good luck! Also, I'd recommend you go over your BIOS memory settings and make sure they're set to factory defaults etc....
