Is this laptop compatible with El Capitan?

Please provide complete details in your profile/signature
(Profile/Settings link in upper right corner of this site)

Mobo: manufacturer/model + bootloader(Clover/Chameleon/Chimera)
CPU: detailed CPU model + motherboard chipset
Graphics: all graphics devices + laptop internal screen resolution

For example, typical Ivy laptop:
Mobo: HP ProBook 4540s (Clover)
CPU: i5-3320m/HM76
Graphics: HD4000, 1366x768

Use CPU-Z on Windows to find CPU (Core iX-xxx) and motherboard chipset (HMxx), and graphics capabilities. For a laptop, these details are important and affect critical installation procedures.

Note: When specifying your bootloader, if using Clover legacy, please be sure to specify "Clover legacy"). Specifying "Clover" will be assumed as "Clover UEFI"

I meant the Dell Inspiron 7548, it seems like a very decent laptop to run the Mac OS.

Sorry for not being clear.

- Intel 5th generation (Broadwell) - Intel Core i7-5500U 2.40GHz CPU
- Intel HD 5500 Graphics, 1080P

You need to put hardware details in your profile, as requested.

And seems like the same laptop as covered by this thread. Given this thread is 22 pages long, I assume there is some amount of success with it.

Has anybody have any luck with Sierra? I've managed to get the graphics to load and patch iokit but having lots of issues.

If anybody is interested here is the new patch for the wifi to work, BCM4352.
Clover patch:
Kext: AirPortBrcm4360
Find: 81F952AA00007529
Replace: 81F952AA00006690

Thanks Rehabman,

I finally finished my laptop with everything working.
