Dell Precision 15 5000 Series (5510)?

The error I get is:

"ACPIBatteryManager: Warning! fCurrentCapacity > fMaxCapacity. adjusted fCurrentCapacity from 4912, to 4032"

After that the page gets scramble, I can make out the error "Still waiting on root device" after the scramble.

I followed the guide above and the guide for the 9550 and still this is the furthest I get on the install.

I don't know why you are using ACPIBatteryManager.kext in an attempt to reach the installer. It is not called for by the guide.

Follow the guide as written.

If you have an issue,

Boot verbose, show photo. Attach EFI/Clover folder as ZIP (omit 'themes' folder).

I re-configured my clover config file and now am getting stuck at a different spot...... here is a screenshot and my new clover installation.

Thank you for your assistance.

Thank you for your help.... I followed the guide and read it a few times over and finally got the OS installed. It's not seeing much of my hardware at this point but I'll follow up the guides and try to get it working, I'll post after I'm done with what did and did not work.

Right now, it sees my CPU as a 2.8GHz i7, it sees all my RAM, it does not sees my WiFi, bluetooth, audio..... it don't see my regular usb3.1toEthernet adapter but I have an Apple usb2-to-Ethernet that works, I hope I can get it to work with most of the stuff.

Thank you again.

I got El Capitan working with sound, WiFi (only 2.4GHz), battery manager, USB3 working but no 3.1 type c.

It is usable but the video is a pain as I don't have any video acceleration and some web sites just blink until I can't take them anymore...... I think I followed the guide correctly, using patchmatic to pull my DSDT/SSDT and patching them, then putting them back into the Clover/ACPI folder as the *.aml files, but still nothing seems to work.

Also, the first time I booted up it saw all my 32GB RAM, but since then it only sees 16GB, it did something similar with my WiFi card, it would not allow me to turn it on, until I went into the BIOS, disabled it, saved it, then enabled it and saved it and then I had WiFi..... I wish I could do that to the RAM....

Any help on this?

Thanks....

Okay, I just checked and now it sees all my RAM, I'm going to reboot a few times and check each time and see..... It sees my CPU as an i7 instead of a XEON....... I think that's as good as it may get since I'm using the iMac17.1 as my SMB.
