Hey Kristof,

EDIT: My machine runs vanilla now, I went through every step of the Skylake Starter Guide and found there is a complete SSDT file for my board, the same you posted in #1 of this thread. Setting the uia_exclude boot flag in config.plist is what did the trick, which I didn't realize before was so important because of the 15 port limit. Turns out it's easy as pie :)

Forget all the nonsense I wrote below this line... ;) Of course zero means USB2 instead of USB3, not disabling the port. That's not done in the SSDT, which kept me bugging for a while. As they say, read the f***ing manual ... But I'm always impatient when hacking

I'm working on my new Hackintosh setup and I use the same mainboard as you do. I was just reading through the clean USB fix section (7.2) of the Skylake Starter Guide when I noticed you have already gone through that and built SSDT-USB.aml

I was wondering if you disabled ports HS13 and HS14, because it says "UsbConnector", zero, compared to 0x03 on the other ports. HS13 and HS14 are my two only rear USB2 ports, which I use to connect mouse and keyboard so I wouldn't waste a USB3 port for them. Am I guessing right and how can I disable USB 3.1 C and A ports instead or some of my internal USB 2 case ports without going through the whole process from the beginning?

I'm guessing I could plug in my front USB into on of the 3 USB2 internal mainboard ports and then check IORegExplorer for the corresponding HSxx number to then disable those instead of HS13 and HS14, is that right?

My best guess is that you installed ALC1150 kext in Multibeast or replaced the original Apple HDA kext in some other manner. Toleda's audio guide shows you how to restore the original. Once the original is in place, try the Cover ALC 110 script again to patch against the original Apple HDA kext.

No, i used multibeast in last turn when did everything from this topic.

Hello, I plan to build my hackintosh with the same motherboard (Z170 Pro Gaming from ASUS). I plan to use the iGPU of a 6600K with a VGA monitor because I don't need a graphic card for my needs. Are you guys able to tell me if the VGA port is compatible or not?

Kristof, have you not had any trouble with memory on the Asus Z170 Pro Gaming? I have had so much trouble :( Are you running your Corsair 3000's in Auto, and therefore I believe will default to 2133MHz... This is stable, but much slower than your 3000MHz.... There is a huge thread on Corsairs forums about this mobo giving trouble with Corsair memory when using XMP. So I am curious what you have done?

Baaah, I just saw you are running Crucial , not Corsair.... But still interested in how they perform?

FYI: My Ballistix Sport 2400's absolutely suck. I can only run a single 8GB DIMM in order for it to be stable. I have tried loads of combo's and eventually they have all failed.

Thanks,

loiphin.

I fixed my sound problem, install kext alc1150 from multibeast and sound works. I've got working 2 of 4 usb3(and front one too), 2 of usb2(and front 2 too). Is there a solution for USB3,1 port and 2 of usb3?

I had the exact same error with the "r" version of the script...

I am attaching the "q" version which works flawlessly for me!

Sorry, that's my bad, I'm actually using Corsair as well. :)
I don't use XMP since that raises the heat of the CPU significantly, so I'm using the DDR4 at 2133Mhz... Plus I have 0 stability issues this way!
