Are you able to reach OS X with 1.1.8? I'm not able to boot it, with or without adapter, with or without OPROM. I'll stick to 1.1.5 probably as i'm not experiencing any problems.

For me it works better than 1.1.5 - it fixes the problem with not booting without adapter and now it boots correctly everytime for me

Hmm, it probably has to do something with the OPROM setting which shows different behaviors on this laptop.

Note: If you have UHD screen, you need to use Devices/FakeID/IntelGFX=0x12345678 until you can patch IOKit (but you're not getting to that point).

I'm making a new guide for dummies for this laptop and I want to cover 4K screen as well. Are you referring to the Clover options edit or is it possible to edit this in config.plist as well? I don't have any FakeID entry in my config.plist. How to correctly create one?

You can do it either by setting config.plist/Devices/FakeID/IntelGFX=0x012345678 in the file itself, or can set the option (each time you boot) in the Clover GUI.

Use a plist editor to edit your config.plist.

I too have trouble booting past the first 2 lines with 1.1.8. From default settings, which do you change?

Look at my new guide for this laptop. I included all the troubleshooting I know about this problem. First look at the Troubleshooting in section 5). If this doesn´t help make sure you read the guide from the top because the information about pre-installation and creating the Installation USB may also help you.

Disabling the Firmware TPM worked for me.

I just so happen to be having issues with audio, I followed the entire guide and still cannot get it to work. When i go to system imformation it shows that I have Intel High Definition Audio but only says "Audio ID: 3" when I click on it. Also when i go to system preferences and click on sound, it doesn't show anything as an input or output. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Edit: I restarted a few times and it seems to be working now
