I used Kext Utility to install the kext, manually had some error.

Does auto-switching between "Internal Speakers" (Green Rear) and "Headphones" (Green Front) work for anyone else after sleep? Mine stops working after sleep, while "Internal Speakers" still have sound after sleep (Green Front port is ignored).

Fixed on my newly built dual boot Skylake with Gigabyte gaming 3.

Tried the kext injection with darkwake=8 and it didn't work. Changed it to darkwake=8 and voila!

(Editted) My system's a i5 6600 cpu + Z170x-UD5 mobo + a GTX 970 Nvidia card, and I'm (obviously) attempting to use the onboard sound (ALC1150). The sound works prior to sleep, but doesn't work after waking. If i switch the audio output to something different (line out 1 for example) and then back to internal speakers, everything starts working appropriately.

Has anyone yet figured out how to make it work appropriately when coming back from sleep? The AppleHDAReset app and the commander kext aren't helping in the least.


Edit:: I guess I should elaborate, so I'll re-edit the post to include system details and specific situation.

Great! it works for me too. I used the first link in post #1, I only installed this version of CodecCommander, did not make any other changes, and everything has been working fine.

Finally got fed up enough to search for a solution to this…tried the pre-made kext, and it worked well enough to enable my front panel & my black rear audio (not the green one though) on my Corsair Carbide 500R. Thanks!
