i was worried that clover didn't show in bios. i didn't mention that usb stick clover i use sometimes appears in bios as many times as i boot. now main driver has a cloning itself problem. it's like twilight zone up in here.

and to add to the weirdness, now system boots fine with nvda_drv=1, everything running fine and smooth at full hd, but the nvidia applet thingie still thinks it's osx default graphic driver?! why?! i am pretty sure am running nvidia. and it's nvidia panel thingie.

doesn't matter if it says osx default driver if you boot with nvda_drv=1 your using the nvidia web driver so your good! Good job!

Hey I bought GA-X99-UD4 cos my MSI X99S SLI plus just won't pass PCI configuration.
And got this screen. It seems to be still related to PCI configuration isn't it?

Thank you so much for your guide - can confirm working on an MSI X99A motherboard with a 5820K!

For your audio patch you say to use Multibeast for Mavericks - however whenever I try to install the Realtek ALC 1150 audio driver from that version of multibeast it keeps on asking to install chamelon?

How did you get around that issue?

Hello I checked your folder, it's very different. There are different settings needed for booting from usb / booting from hard drive. Here is my config.plist. You can check it and compare the config.plist to yours they are very different. Turn off dart=0 you need to change the kext folder to Other from 10.11. there are many differences you can check out. also these are the drivers / kexts I am using i took a screenshot

Just check "optional EFI installed bootloader support" and it will install without installing chimera. Thanks for pointing this out, I will update my guide!

No, changing the kext folder didn't change anything
Now I really should have to get an i7 instead of Xeon.

Yes I saw your config and made some fix on mine. It didn't break PCI configuration. but without Kext_dev_mode I got a bit different screen.

leave kext dev mode off. That looks like it was on it's way to loading. give it some time when it hits that screen

Wow after a whole day of trying, I finally got into the installation!

In fact, there was an amazingly easy fix.

1. Reset the CMOS on the motherboard (for some reason, Load Optimized Defaults) is different to clearing the CMOS.

2. In EFI/CLOVER/kexts, delete all the numbered folders and only leave "Other".

3. In "Other", you will only need 2 kexts, mainly VoodooTSCSync.kext and FakeSMC.kext

4. Boot with flags: npci=0x2000 dart=0 -v

... and you should get to the installation screen!

Now let's see if the post-installation will be successful.

by the way make sure voodootscsync matches the number of cores your using.
