[Guide] ASUS ZENBOOK UX302LA using Clover UEFI

I used this guide on my UX31LA. Everything was going well except when I tried to mount EFI. I found that my SSD 'Type' in Disk Utility was 'Logical Volume Group'. When I installed OS X, I indeed erased and created new partition with GUID option. I don't know why the UX31LA SSD 'Type' is different from the HP 820 G1 I am using. The HP 820 G1 SSD 'Type and Location' is 'Solid State Disk, Internal'. I wonder if this is why I couldn't have my EFI mounted after installation? Anyone knows how to fix it? Thanks in advance.

Repartition with Disk Utility.

@RehabMan, I guess you mean re-installation? I actually re-installed once from the beginning with re-partition. The result was the same. I don't know how to re-partition without wiping out the data. I am working on searching more info on this issue.

Yes... it sounds like you accidently created a "core storage" setup (maybe due to small SSD caching drive?)

What version of Yosemite are you installing?

You should have a backup of your data (HDD/SSD can fail at any time).

Post output from:
Code:
diskutil list

Sandisk 128 GB

10.10.3
Do it all over again, bootless, GUID automatically changed to LVG. Can't mount EFI.
I saw vslee himself used a fat32 partition to store EFI files for UX302LA. Does it mean he couldn't have a GUID partition like me?

I kept data well before I wiped. Thanks.

As I thought... it is a "core storage" setup.

Google 'site:tonymacx86.com yosemite core storage'

diskutil coreStorage revert UUID
Then reboot.

Now the core storage problem solved, and everything looks normal. Unfortunately, i can't mount EFI all the same.

vibrioh, were you able to get around the App Store/unverified account issue on your UX31A?
