Guide To Install Yosemite on HP Laptops with Clover UEFI

Tried it, but it doesn't change!

Installed to test a clean 10.10.2 with PBI-CE v6.2.15.5 and it is working ok.

Seams to be an incompatibility with 10.10.3.

Can you download 10.10.3 from AppStore then do a clean install without upgrading?

i have that file

Go to System Information > Extensions > find AppleIntelHD4000Graphics, post the following:

@nguyenmac, you must have foreseen something, right?

For the first several boots after setting up PBI CE, Yosemite works fine.

Well, since this morning, kernel panics occurs occasionally.

The KP is always the same as following:

Panic(CPU 0): Unresponsive processor (this CPU did not acknowledge interrupts) TLB state:0x0
panic(cpu 2 caller 0xffffff80003fae93): "TLB invalidation IPI timeout: " "CPU(s) failed to respond to interrupts, unresponsive CPU bitmap: 0x1, NMIPI acks: orig: 0x0, now: 0x1"@/SourceCache/xnu/xnu-2782.10.72/osfmk/x86_64/pmap.c:2484

And related backtrace is:

As you can see, the backtrace contains something about the com.darwin.driver.ACPIBacklight.
So, I deleted ACPIBacklight.kext from EFI partition, and the kernel panic seems to be gone. I have rebooted a lot of times, and very stable so far.

I wonder if it is correct to delete ACPIBacklight.kext. And wondering another thing, why other users have never reported such KP. Is HP-9470M a special model?

Great thanks to you all, really excellent.

Are there any method (undervolting, underclocking the cpu) to save more battery life? Can I increase the fps in games?

You can use MacIASL to create an undervolting SSDT, it will make your CPU reach lower turbo boost. There is no way to increase the fps.

Upload your crash report, and I'll look at it. Also, troubleshooting files. Press F4 at Clover before posting files (so I can compare ACPI/origin with ACPI/patched). Make sure the troubleshooting files represent a state that causes the crash (eg. reproduce the bug with the EFI configuration before providing the crash report and troubleshooting files).

If your patched DSDT is out-of-sync with your native DSDT, ACPIBacklight.kext could have issues. The ProBook Installer does not set FixRegions in DSDT "Fixes" (it really should) so if your SystemMemory regions are floating(or have changed due to BIOS changes), there could be problems.

From where did you download Yosemite?

OK, I decided to do a 'fresh install' again to reproduce this problem. I will post related files later. Thank you.

And about system memory, I can't find any option in my BIOS to setup HD4000's memory size. So, I guess, every time the systems boots up, system memory size may change. Is this possible?

Thx for the fast reply. Anyway I have more fps under OS X than under windows 7. Is this because of the OpenGL?

How much battery life increase can do the undervolting ssdt? Sorry because of this terrible english!
