Guide To Install Yosemite on HP Laptops with Clover UEFI

Great tutorial !!!

I finally succeeded to install Yosemite on my HP-9470M. Everything is working like a charm.
I replaced original WiFi adapter with BCM94352HMB, and both BT4.0 and WiFi works fine.

To sum up all my mistakes here:

1. Can't boot Yosemite installer from USB stick
Because GenericUSBXHCI.kext is missing under /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other

2. Nothing generated on USB stick after F4 pressed on Clover UI
Because the folder '/EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/origin' does not exist. (whatever reasons, /EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/origin is missing). So, I created the folder manually.

Thanks to all great man here.

Give up on Hand off (it's not that useful) or buy new laptop.

Borrow one or use a TV with HDMI input.

You can also set a FakeID (to 0x01228086, which is unsupported desktop HD3000) which will take graphics problems out of the equation.

config.plist/Devices/FakeID/IntelGFX=0x01228086

If you've previously downloaded Mavericks from the Mac App Store (when it was available), you can still download it. See guide: http://www.tonymacx86.com/hp-probook-mavericks/112383-guide-install-mavericks-clover-bootloader.html

If you didn't download Mavericks from the MAS when it was available, it is not an option for you.
Thx for your help. Now i can reach the installer, but i got a "gpt partitioning scheme is required" error.
I have 3 or 4 partitions on one drive. One of them is a working Windows 7(NTFS). How can I make a dual boot?

Follow the guide. It calls for a re-partition with GPT. If your Windows is installed on MBR you'll have to re-install Windows after.

There are ways around it, but they are advanced... You could convert your Windows install to UEFI (google it). And then there are considerations... .covered here: http://www.tonymacx86.com/multi-booting/133940-mavericks-windows-8-same-drive-without-erasing.html

@nguyenmac, you must have foreseen something, right?

For the first several boots after setting up PBI CE, Yosemite works fine.

Well, since this morning, kernel panics occurs occasionally.

The KP is always the same as following:

Panic(CPU 0): Unresponsive processor (this CPU did not acknowledge interrupts) TLB state:0x0
panic(cpu 2 caller 0xffffff80003fae93): "TLB invalidation IPI timeout: " "CPU(s) failed to respond to interrupts, unresponsive CPU bitmap: 0x1, NMIPI acks: orig: 0x0, now: 0x1"@/SourceCache/xnu/xnu-2782.10.72/osfmk/x86_64/pmap.c:2484

And related backtrace is:

Try this:
- Import config.plist in EFI partition by CC, find Boot Arguments, uncheck -xcpm, then go to Kernel and Kext Patches > select ASUS AICPUPM.
