Hi guys,

Have my 5870 and everything is running great apart from the Sound Card.
I have tried voodoo HDA of all types and its doing my head in, Is there anyone here that has had any success ?

If so could you kindly guide me through the installation of the kexts order and which versions.

Thanks in Advance

What version X-fi do you have? I a fully working kext for the X-Fi titanium fatality champion pci-e if you want to try it?

Thanks for the quick reply Danimator,

I have a XFI Titanium PCIE http://au.creative.com/products/product.asp?category=209&subcategory=669&product=17927

Its the version without the front panel bay device.

Should i also disable the onboard sound in the bios ? and with this version of voodoohda do i need to delete applehda as well so i don't get a kernel panic ?.

Thanks again

Will still work, it's the same card. Yes, disable your onboard sound in bios, as well as delete applehda.kext.

I would just like to thank you so very much,

Everything is running perfectly with your edited Kext.

I believe those edited nodes made it all work without a hitch :) and i can say the sound produced has by far exceeded my expectations.

Thanks Again mate

No problem. Actually, thank "tHE KINg". He's the one that helped me out and did the kext originally ;) Glad it all works for you.

Have you all analog In/Outs working so that Multichannel Analog out works? That would be nice. I use my Via Onboard Sound which works fine with all Line Outs/ins.

My Titanium runs only with Lineout green= Stereo. I tried a modified Kext from another Forum. Only Line Out green output too, but all ins/outs were visible with it

I will try the Titanium with the modified Kext later..that would be great :)

EDIT
No..doenst work on my Titanium :(

Same Problem as with the other edited voodoohda kext.

I can see all in and outs, but only the line out green works. The sound comes out of all Speakers as a kind of strange upmix... But its not true 5.1 ( its only the same Sound on each channel) with correct mapped channels. It looks line the Stereo from green out outputs his Sound on all other line outs.

I can test this in AudioMidi Setup.

I have an old PCI xfi which this kext doesn't with. Well I am not able to get any sound working with my Gigabyte P55-USB3. So maybe its not this kext.

I just got a X-FI Titanium Fatal1ty too and I want to install it...

If I run the voodoohda included in multibeast is it ok? Or does I need the kext you put here?

And I must delete the applehda file too?

Thanks for the help, I'm new to all this! :)

Hey Danimator, I have the same card too! I was wondering if the digital in and outs are working as well. I don't see what they wouldn't, but was wondering if they indeed work. I'm trying to put my Hackintosh together as well, and I would love to use this card!!

Thanks
