Hi, I am trying to install Yosemite (Unibeast) on my Asus X501A. First it went to the loading screen (one with the apple logo) and there was no progress.

Then I did the following as suggested in this post.
  1. Switch my bootloader to Chameleon
  2. Update FakeSMC - http://https://github.com/RehabMan/OS-X-FakeSMC-kozlek
  3. Add GenericUSBXHCI.kext to the USB - http://https://github.com/RehabMan/OS-X-Generic-USB3

Then the loading screen went halfway through and stopped as below

In verbose mode I get the following log

The specs of my computer
CPU : Intel Core i3 (2nd Gen) 2350M / 2.3 GHz
Number of Cores : Dual-Core
Cache : 3 MB
Ram : 8GB
Graphics : Intel HD Graphics 3000
Resolution : 1366 x 768 ( HD )

Your help is greatly appriciated

Post your config.plist.

Post your config.plist.

You mean one in the Extra/Extensions called "org.chameloen.Boot.plist"? if so it is as below. Please bear with me, it's my first time installing hackintosh.

Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">
<plist version="1.0">
<dict>
    <key>Boot Banner</key>
    <string>No</string>
    <key>EthernetBuiltIn</key>
    <string>Yes</string>
    <key>GraphicsEnabler</key>
    <string>Yes</string>
    <key>IGPEnabler</key>

I just assumed you were using Clover, since Chameleon/Chimera usually can't be used on ASUS laptops. ASUS BIOS cannot boot legacy to a GPT drive.

For using Clover: http://www.tonymacx86.com/yosemite-...oting-os-x-installer-laptops-clover-uefi.html

For using Chameleon/Chimera: http://www.tonymacx86.com/yosemite-...-booting-os-x-installer-laptops-unibeast.html

I used this method to create the Bootable USB (Unibeast) and as described I have copied and updated the kexts. Please excuse my ignorance if I am missing anything

I would recommend Clover... but, you should check verbose output to be certain there aren't problems earlier in the log than those shown in your photo (eg. watch out for Local APIC panic or other issues).

Also booting the OS X installer from USB is slow, so be patient. You can also try plugging an HDMI monitor. Make sure you followed all instructions including removing the rollback AppleACPIPlatfrom.kext from /Extra/Extensions.

Also note that SkipNvidiaGfx and IntelCapriFB are ineffective with Chimera. They are Chameleon flags.

Thanks. I have already tried plugging an HDMI monitor then used IntelAzulFB flag. In my /Extra/Extensions i have removed the AppleACPIPlatfrom.kext.

Would you mind what type of flags I should be using according to my log. I have tried many but still no success :banghead:

IntelAzulFB is a Chameleon flag. It has no effect on Chimera.

According to your profile, you have Sandy Bridge/HD3000 not Haswell. IntelAzulFB is only for Haswell hardware.

Also, you profile does not specify your chipset...

Please provide complete details in your profile/signature
(Profile/Settings link in upper right corner of this site)

System: manufacturer/model + bootloader(Clover/Chameleon/Chimera)
CPU: detailed CPU model + motherboard chipset
Graphics: all graphics devices + laptop internal screen resolution

For example, typical Ivy laptop:
System: HP ProBook 4540s (Clover)
CPU: i5-3320m/HM76
Graphics: HD4000, 1366x768

Use CPU-Z on Windows to find CPU (Core iX-xxx) and motherboard chipset (HMxx), and graphics capabilities. For a laptop, these details are important and affect critical installation procedures.
