Hey y'all,

First post and stuff. Long time linux hacker, and first time hackintosher. The shop I bought from were all out of Z87's, so I bought a Z97 knowing the potential risks.

Hardware

Z97N
i5 4670K
2x4GB Crucial Vengeance
Sammy 840 SSD

Installation Findings

I didn't need to remove one of my RAM sticks, or use the maxmem=4096 option.

I got Unibeast to boot using just -x alone - but only when I deleted this file from my USB:
Code:
Extra/Extensions/AppleACPIPlatform.kext

Which I learned from this post: http://www.tonymacx86.com/mavericks...-install-10-9-2-first-build-3.html#post815649

Issues

Before removing AppleACPIPlatform.kext, the kernel panic was this:

Now trying to boot without -x I get this during boot:

Any one got a suggestion on things to try from here?

Cheers

Same to me here.
I have
GA-H97-HD3
8G DDR3
Intel HD4600 Graphics.

boot with -x will go to kernel panic
Boot with -v will get /boot/cache/control: unable to open /var/db/BootCache.playlist: 2 No such file or directory
::smcReadKeyAction ERRROR LsNM KSMCKeyNotFound(0x84) fKeyHashTable=0x0
....

Another question,
how did your delete Extra/Extensions/AppleACPIPlatform.kext?

I removed AppleACPIPlatform.kext, IONetworkingFamily.kext
and boot with -x -v GraphicsEnabler=Yes maxmem=4096

@Solow2012 did you try booting with just the -x param? Interested to know how far that gets you.

Interestingly your screenshot appears to show Bluetooth starting up correctly - mine doesn't start at all. I should probably note that during the OSX installer, Bluetooth was working (albeit badly) for a while as I used my trackpad!

I'm going to order one of these, since I hear reports that the dual Wifi/Bluetooth card can be a bit troublesome:

After tons of retires, I boot up my install with -x GraphicsEnabler=Yes PCIRootUID=1.
The detailed information is here
