Hi everyone,

I did a clean install of Yosemite and got virtually everything to work except my IOGear 4.0 Bluetooth dongle.
It used to work in Mavericks before.
Currently Yosemite sees the dongle but my wireless keyboard and magic mouse are not connecting. I'll try to post as much info so hopefully someone has a working awnser ^^

Thnx for the help in advance guys ^^

Cheers all !

I don't know if this will help you or not, but I've got the same dongle as you and at first I had some issues getting my trackpad to work, but I re-paired it and now it's working. The only differences I'm seeing between our two systems is the firmware in the dongle is different. Don't know if that is a problem or not, but just FYI.

so, got a tutorial of some sorts that would get me that firmware as well? ;)

thnx in advance ^^

Did you do anything special to get the BT to show up? I just upgraded and my IOGear doesn't even appear.

Try this...
If you have it installed, remove /System/Library/Extensions/GenericUSBXHCI.kext, recache and reboot.

Use these commands in Terminal:

Code:
sudo -s

Enter your password.

Code:
rm -R /System/Library/Extensions/GenericUSBXHCI.kext

Code:
touch /System/Library/Extensions/

Then reboot. Hope this solves the issue.

It almost fixed the problem for me, the only thing it's not working properly is the trackpad.
