Yosemite Installation with Existing Windows OS on Dell Optiplex 755

Hello.

I have Windows 8.1 running currently and I do not want any of my files or programs to be deleted. I do have two hard drive though.

So on one hard drive I have Windows. And my other hard drive is empty. So should I plug off my Windows hard drive and install Mac on my empty hard drive? And once the OS X installation is done, plug back in the Windows hard drive. Will I be able to boot into both of them as I wish using the regular boot screen?

Also, has anyone already installed Yosemite on their Optiplex 755 without ANY problems?
Here are my specs and please tell me if my system is compatible with Yosemite. I'm a noob btw.

Dell Optiplex 755 Motherboard (Mini Tower)
Intel Core2Quad Q6600
PNY Geforce GTX 650 (Non-Ti)
8GB DDR2 Ram
TP-LINK PCI Wireless Adapter
Antec USB 3.0 PCI-E card
430W Power Supply
