Yes, it's a trashcan - the one described in the original post.
The hard drives are connected now, i had to order sata extension cables as the original ones were too small (obviously as it used to be a notebook). I like the idea of having a plexiglass frame, I might do that when I got some more time. As of right now, the build is still working perfectly, it's running 24/7 and I did not have any issues yet. I even disable the fan for some time to reduce noise and it worked quite well (CPU: 42°C in idle, 65°C when streaming hd video).
I also switched to a cable network so I'm not going to build this antenna.
