The BBC is reporting that Yahoo has been hacked again, you may think it prudent to change your password.

Well technically it was breaking news because it was previously unknown about. It is a new hack with regards to disclosure and even Yahoo were not aware of it until recently (they discovered it as part of a security audit after the last hack). That said anyone still using Yahoo at this point should seriously consider moving to a new provider - they have illustrated that they are completely unable to secure nor have a desire to secure your personal and private data.

The two biggest known hacks in history.
Volunteering all your private data to the NSA/FBI without a warrant or any other legal order.
Running an insecure IM network which was hacked by GCHQ.
Being involved in the PRISM programme.
Sabotaging the W3C Do Not Track project.
Publicly refusing to honor Do Not Track signals.

At this point you really have to ask yourself if this is a company you should support when there are so many other options available.

Who else is there? Google GMail? MS Outlook? They're hardly the stewards of privacy.

Maybe it's time to go back to PGP encrypted emails... Not that anyone has anything to hide, just that they're probably more secure from hackers, or it would be too much trouble to bother hacking. idkfs.
