Motherboard
XPS 13
CPU
I7-8550U
Graphics
Intel 620
When testing with Prime95 the CPU goes to max 4GHZ for about 5 seconds or less, at around 40 watts, then quickly scales back to 2 ghz at around 15watts and 63c. “utilization” On Intel Power Gadget does show 99 percent though. Sometimes the fan won't even kick in while running prime since the temps are low at 2ghz... When I was running on Ubuntu I had it easily at 3.2 constant, high 70s.

My i7-8550u is re-pasted with Kryonaut and I have thermal pads between the heat-sink and back-plate, drawing tons of heat away, in an A/C room. Fans have much more room to cool.

Is there anyway to get the maximum my temps will allow for without artificially throttling it back?

Thank you.

I am using the files from here for my setup:

Your kextcache output proves kexts are not installed correctly.
All kexts you need must be installed to the system volume.
Read post #2 of the Clover guide for details:
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-booting-the-os-x-installer-on-laptops-with-clover.148093/

Didn't check anything else.
@RehabMan Thank you for the reply. Got everything configured per the guide now, installed via terminal using sudo cp -R and then finished with rebuild cache. I ALSO included Lilu.kext and Virtual.SMC.kext files in EFI/CLOVER/kexts/other since they are "essential"

However, with all kext in L/E I now have the following problems:
Internal trackpad stopped working.
Thunderbolt port does not work. (tested with usb c samsung t5 ssd)
These all worked when kext were installed to EFI/CLOVER/kexts/other

I also still have the same issue of fans not kicking in early enough, and being artificially TDP limited.

The darkvoid repo suggest BrcmPatchRAM2.kext BrcmFirmwareRepo.kext and CodecCommander.kext are the only files needed in L/E (since the folder is named "Library-Extensions") so not sure if that has anything to do with it or not. Shown here:
https://github.com/the-darkvoid/XPS9360-macOS/tree/master/kexts

Anyhow, attached is the new report.

Your config.plist seems to be missing the CoolStar patches for I2C...
Keep in mind with Lilu kexts installed to the system volume, you should implement a properly coded LiluFriend.kext.

Thanks @RehabMan for pointing me in the right direction! Going to take me a while to figure that stuff out then I will post the new gen_debug if i still have issues.

@RehabMan I searched google and this website for "CoolStar patches for I2C" and didn't find anything solid. Do you have a link to the exact patch i need? Thanks.

Refer to config_patches.plist in the guide plist repo.
