Well, I tried those steps and my card is still showing as ATI Radeon HD NI40.

I have the XFX HD-687A-ZNFC.

DVD crashes, same as geekbench.

Any suggestions?

Does the Mac definition matters? Right now, mine is showing as MacPro3.1.

Thanks.

Are you running Chimera 1.1.0 ?
You need that and GraphicsEnabler=Yes .

Try adding the duckweed framebuffer by typing.
AtiConfig=Duckweed

At your Chameleon boot screen.

If that framebuffer isn't autoloading then we might need to get the proper IDs for your card to add it to Chimera so it loads properly.

Use this Boot-CD: Andy's P8P67Pro Boot CD

1 - Download the bootcd
2 - Boot from it (Make sure you selected AHCI-Mode in bios)
3 - Install Snow Leopard from DVD or USB Installation media
4 - Reboot using the bootcd
5 - Install 10.6.7 update combo
6 - Once the update is complete reboot again using the bootcd
7 - Open the bootcd, copy the installer package to your desktop and then run it

(it's important to copy the installer to disk and not run it from the cd otherwise your sound will not work - this a bug in the postinstall script that I haven't been able to track down yet. )
8 - Reboot without the bootcd.
9 - Run latest MultiBeast (i run 3.5.2) and select:
  • - SystemUtilities
    - Chimera Bootloader
    - 64-bit Apple Bootscreen

There is no need to over complicated matters with Andys install and boot. It is all supported in iBoot and MultiBeast. Just install the ATI kexts from the Graphics section and Chimera 1.1.0 all of which is in the latest MultiBeast. There's no need to reboot in the middle.

No reason why it wouldn't work. Bridge helper + MultiBeast is exactly the same as Andy's install package.

Hi Noshy,

I tried all that and same result.

Mind you, I can play starcracft 2 with no problems whatsoever, but the same issues persist, no proper ID, no dvd or geekbench.

Here is my com.apple.Boot.plist

Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">
<plist version="1.0">
<dict>
	<key>Kernel</key>
	<string>mach_kernel</string>
	<key>Kernel Flags</key>
	<string>arch=i386</string>
	<key>GraphicsEnabler</key>
	<string>Yes</string>
	<key>AtiConfig</key>
	<string>Duckweed</string>
	<key>Timeout</key>
	<string>1</string>
	<key>Legacy Logo</key>
	<string>Yes</string>
	<key>EthernetBuiltIn</key>
	<string>Yes</string>
</dict>
</plist>

There's a new Chimera/MultiBeast on it's way and I'd suggest trying that.

Can you post your IDs for your card from Graphics section of System Profiler.

Could you also post up your bdmesg output ? I'd like to see what the ATI.c is doing for your card.

Can you try it for Chimera? And if Andy's is working differently - his also ?

Just announced a new iBoot 3.0.2 viewtopic.php?f=22&t=19281&start=0

Changes include:
-Added 10.7.4 Kernel from 2011 iMac/MBP Sandy Bridge 10.6.7 Update
-Updated bootloader to Chimera v1.3.0
-Changed theme back to default resolution
