What's Your Favorite Text Editor? (Besides TextEdit)

For pure text editing, Sublime Text 2 without a doubt. Coupled with Dropbox for settings and "projects" it's amazing.

As far as more complete IDE's go Komodo is my favorite followed by Coda2.

I guess that most of those replying up to now on this thread are into program coding. For basic text editing, notes taking, TextEdit is good IMHO. I would try to check some of the editors mentioned in this thread and see if one of them fits such a purpose, I am not a coder myself . I use UltraEdit on pc and I like it, specially for it's tabbed functionalities.

Being a long-time Emacs user, I use Aquamacs, a GNU Emacs variant that's nicely integrated into the OS X environment.
