Dynaudio Acoustics 5" powered speakers one one setup and a set of powered Tapco Mixing speakers (no longer made, and one of the best deals I have found for listening). Run the Tapcos through a small Mackie mixer, the Dynaudios through a larger 12 channel mixer.
Day to day I use the built-in speakers on the 24" cinema display. For music/movies/gaming I use an old Sony HT-K215 mini surround sound system (Dolby 5.1 / DTS), plugged in via optical cable. The front and centre speakers are compact enough to fit (side-ways) under my two cinema displays, the rear speakers are on speaker stands. Works a treat!
Apple Pro Speakers with a Griffin iFire Adapter (for music when I work)
Headphones ( for movies/TV Shows watching at nights)
I'm in the process of building a virtual surround audio set up using Dolby Headphone
I've recently acquired a JVC SU-DH1 DTS/DD decoder and I'm still undecided in which headphones to use with it.
EDIT: Ultrasone PRO 900 headphones is a strong candidate
• Day to day: Denon amp PMA-655R (quite old) and (someone might laugh ) a pair of 35 year old Realistic / Radio Shack speakers (well, boomers and tweeters have been changed... ).
• Mixing: Behringer B2031 through a small mixer (actually, I use a lot more my Sony MDR-7506 headphones as my room's acoustics is far from being perfect... ).
I just upgraded to Audioengine P4 passive speakers (from a 10$ yard sale pair).
When I need to, I use my AKAI EIE interface and send all audio through my receiver to my speakers. (The whole rear aspect of my desk is an absolute mess of cables)
I plug my headphones (pictured: Shure 440 and Grado SR60i) right into the receiver as well.
