What are your SSD Read/Write speeds?

Yours is Gigabyte and mine is Asus and I think my board is the first generation X58 board and yours is Rev 2.0 ( 2nd generation ?). The DSDT files also different.

With a single Intel 330 60GB connected to ASM1061 card my score is the same like I connected to both ports of ASM1061 means single and RAID0 (both connected to 2 ports of ASM1061) configuration gave me the same result. The moment I split the ports to ASM1061 and to ICH10R I get better speed gain.

Hello! I found this thread on Trim Enabler website... Bought a 2012 Mac mini (base) and dropped in a 256GB 840 Pro.


TRIM is not enabled, yet. I also haven't updated the firmware or turned off DIPM.

I recently got a Samsugn 840 250GB drive to replace my intel one. With this drive, I am getting 245MB/s write and 375MB/s read speeds. The write speeds seem to be at maximum but the read speeds are still below par. I'm not sure what the bottleneck is and was never able to resolve it with the Intel drive either. I have Trim enabled via MB. Maybe a new motherboard would make a difference.

I have installed ML on several PCs and Laptops, here are my read write results from Dell Inspiron 15 (3521) with Intel i5 3337U (very nice battery endurance w. this CPU). The read is kinda silly compared to the write speed. The hard disk is Samsung 840 128Gb. Overall performance is low, 3945 points in Geekbench

This is my MSI H61M P31 w. Intel i7 3770 and using ASRock SATA 3 Card disk controller in mPCI slot to get SATA III for my 128Gb Crucial M4 disk (motherboard only has SATA II). This controller (Marvell chip) speeds up reading but not writing and actually slows down my Seagate Barracuda 2Tb 7200 RPM spinning hard disk somewhat.
