Want to know in the 200 series motherboard dsdt is necessary?

This is the first time I installed hackintosh, so I read some tutorials and found that often need to extract dsdt to install, but also to see some users do not use the installation process dsdt, I am confused, who can answer this question, If I do not use dsdt can be installed successfully, then I also need dsdt file?

I have a 100 series and I am not using DSDT at all and it is working perfectly (SSDT with i7 states, sleep/wake, audio...)

from what I have learned modern motherboards ie: yours do not need a DSDT, the Bios takes care of it and OS X understands that. FWIW I do not have a DSDT and mine works perfectly.

Me too. I've High Sierra installed and all (really all) it's working fine and I don't have a patched DSDT. Also don't have SDST thanks to PluginType Enabled in Clover. But I read elsewhere that I well patched DSDT is always mandatory to "take care" of our CustoMac... But now I don't know what to patch...
