upgrade to rx 6600 xt

Hello, I have to do an update of my video card that can no longer be postponed.
This is the current configuration:

EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 SC GAMING ACX 3.0 Black Edition, 8GB GDDR5
Intel Core i7 7700K, Socket LGA1151, Quad Core, 8 Threads, 4.2GHz, 4.5GHz Turbo, 8MB
Gigabyte GA-Z170X-Ultra Gaming Intel Z170
2X 16GB DDR4 2133MHz Corsair
Samsung SSD 960 EVO 500GB


I would like to buy a RX 6600 xt probably the Asrock CLD Challenger D (because it's cheaper). I wanted to ask you if there are any more simple or difficult custom to install, XFX I read that it is more complicated, others? I could also look in used like this, but I would like to be sure of being able to install the custom easily!

Hi

Your upgrade will depend on which version of macOS you are on. You need Monterey v12.1 or higher I believe, then the agdpmod=pikera boot-command.

I can't offer any insight to the ASRock brand GPU, sorry.
