Temporary(?) workaround for R9 380 (TONGA) in El Capitan:
No need to unplug and plug HDMI cable everytime u boot into El Capitan.
Just leave the cable in R9 380. U will get signal in monitor once El capitan reaches desktop.

Prerequisites in BIOS:
1. IGPU set as Primary
2. CSM enabled
3. UEFI harddrive (whatever that contains boot files) set in first priority

Additional: InjectIntel enabled

With these settings, u can boot into El Capitan with R9 380, only drawback being 'no signal' till u reach desktop (30 seconds for my setup).

Note: In order to access BIOS, need to change the display cable back to motherboard. With CSM enabled, u will get signal during booting only from the GPU which is setup as primary in BIOS.

This still has its problems though. Occasionally on some boots a ghost monitor will appear that will mirror your actual monitor, degrading performance.

For anybody with the R9 380, it is completely worth it to be running 10.10.5 which has flawless support OOB with no additional settings and wait for either a user or Apple fix. (The reason I say Apple fix is because people with actual Mac Pro's + R9 380's are also having issues with this).

Now that 10.11.1 is out, anybody brave enough to try again to check for R8 380 support?
