I recently build a new pc with the following specs:

Motherboard: Gigabyte Z97X-UD3H-BK
CPU: i7 4790k
GPU: GTX 660 EVGA with the ACX cooler
RAM: Corsair vengeance 8gb dual channel, 1600Mhz

I couldn't boot into the installer with mavericks 10.9.4 so j tried it with 10.9.1 and got the installer to work using -v -x GraphicsEnabler=No
I managed to boot into the installation using -v -x and the graphics are off and I have an opaque menu bar. On about this mac it shows my HD 4600 1024 mb but my displays are in my GPU. I tried running multi beast and it causes a kernal panic on boot, forcing me to reinstall the OS. I don't know what to do anymore
