Ugrading my 2017 build

I picked up a Gigabyte AORUS Radeon RX 580 8GB Graphic Card GV-RX580AORUS-8GD. I've upgraded to Catalina with the NVidia card in and have the expected downgraded resolution. I swapped cards and I see Clover boot screen, then the Apple boot screen, and then nothing - expecting the login screen.
Are there any pre-installation prep work that I need to do for the RX 580 card to work or should it JustWork™?
Edit : I just read the WhateverGreen.kext details - it sounds like that might be the solution I need.
