Deleted, restarted, still no go
Try with your Windows disk (and any others) disconnected.Deleted, restarted, still no go
What is the make/model of your disk ?All disks disconnected aside from mac boot drive. Original issue persists.
Boot drive is greyed out in Install macOS High Sierra install app with message:
"You may not install to this volume because it is missing a firmware partition."
I just did what you should have done in the first place and used Google to search for :500 GB SSD - Samsung 840 Evo
Not sure if this plays into it, in disk utility it shows as an external drive, its never mattered before.
use kext tool to load the (AHCI_Intel_Generic_SATA) kext, reboot, and your drives will be seen as non-removeable, and internal..
