I use an Apple 24in LED display, plugged in to the display port with the connector below:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003N3DTKY/

It works just fine for me

I'm guessing that was directed at my question; It appears that Apple displays that will plug into a mini display port can be adapted to the DisplayPort - I get that. Question is, what about "thunderbolt" displays?

Dear Tony,
First of all huge thanks for your help & support through this forum to us.:headbang:
I am a hakintosh builder from 10.6 and made on AMD only.
I made my first Intel Hakintosh by the superb help of wildwillow's golden build part.
I use the same mobo and 4670K.
Currrently it is running 4 OSs .10.9/10.8.5/Windows 7/Ubuntu.
I will post mine after I make it complete for sure.

My question to you is as I am an iOS developer I need to run flawlessly XCode & Simulatorthrough my hakintosh can you suggest me best budget GPU from link

I mean is GTX 680 is value for money or GTX 770 is what I need for my case?
Please help:ugeek:

Neither the GTX 680 nor the GTX 770 cards are "budget" graphics cards, in terms of low cost - both of those graphics cards are in the high end (money & performance). The GT640 is the budget card in the tonymacx86 Buyer's Guide. I use the GTX 650 Ti with very good results. The GTX 650 Ti Boost is also a good graphics card. The rest of the cards are for there for gamers.

Note: as of the time/date of this post, this is the current Buyer's Guide graphics card list:

I would try your development activities without a graphics card at first. The HD4600 Intel Integrated Graphics is surprising powerful (in terms of graphics in the past 3-5 years ago). See the Tom's Hardware Graphics Hierachcy Chart for more information.

Gotta agree with Stork. A GTX 650 or 650 ti should be more than adequate for coding. There are
some really good prices on those now as well, as newer cards are coming out. If you're a gamer
on the Windows side of things even a GTX 760 can handle most of the newer games. A 680 or
770 is really not necessary.

Ok One input I forgot to give .. I am a Game developer as well but not having all details of GPU cards.
I develop using Unity/Shiva Game engine.... So should I need GTX 650Ti or any ....mm I mean in budget
Actually this is pushing my machine incomplete. Wondering can I run XCode on HD4600 with out trouble :(
I burnt my 9800 GT once more 2 years back on 10.6 :D

Don't know, but you could try it w/o a graphics card to see the results. After all, we're only trying to save you money. :D

Well, playing the current games will tax most low end graphics cards - the 650 Ti & 650 Ti Boost are good for most games, except for the most demanding.

Again I recommend you read the monthly Tom's Hardware Best Graphics Cards For The Money as it's focus is on gaming graphics cards. This report has very good information on the gaming performance of their recommended graphics cards. However, stay with the nVidia cards for now as AMD/ATI cards are not integrating well (yet) with OS X.

I would think so, but I only have the 650 Ti. The only reason I'm using a graphics card is to help tonymacx86 beta testing. Otherwise I'm a happy camper with the Intel Integrated Graphics, which I'm using right now with my Zorro system (driving two monitors, no less).
