I have finally got everything working on my hackintosh build. I am LOVING it way more than I thought I would!!
I want to use my iMac as a third/fourth display for the machine and I was wondering if I could do this using target display mode. This is where you can use a thunderbolt cable from the host machine to the target iMac, and use the iMac as a display. This requires thunderbolt, which my motherboard (Asus Z87-A) doesn't possess, however Asus sells a PCI-E thunderbolt card. I already know my motherboard is compatible (at least Asus' site appears to say so, I would do more research before purchase) but I am really seeing whether or not it would work in a Haswell hackintosh OS X build.
Would OS X recognize and fully accept a thunderbolt PCI-E card for every usage? Especially TDM (Target Display Mode)?
Thanks!!
