A very generous friend and video editor gifted me his old 27 inch Apple Thunderbolt Display. I have a hackintosh with the following setup:
Intel i7-2600k 3.4ghz
Corsair Vengeance 16GB (4x4GB) 240-pin DDR3 1600 RAM
XFX Radeon HD 6770 Video Card (with 5x mini-displayport, and flashed to 5770 firmware)
Sony Slim DVD+R 8X Drive
Gigabyte GA-Z68MA-D2H Motherboard
I know that the only way to get it working is to update to a motherboard with displayport, or a GPU (which doesn't exist). So I ask you my fellow hack friends, what is the best mobo to get to keep my costs to a minimum (not have to replace CPU, GPU, RAM, etc). I wouldn't mind spending 250 for a mobo if I knew for a fact it would work. I do not game or do anything crazy, but I do edit go-pro and video footage so I would need it to be able to support at least 2k video.
Thanks!
