There are successful builds with only the onboard HD 4600, for example Ryan's build. Is there any reason why a hackintosh couldn't drive 3 (or least 2) monitors given both (A) appropriate integrated GPU and (B) MB's video outputs? Also, how well does daisy-chaining two DP monitors work with a mackintosh?
So, has anybody managed (or failed) to get 3 (or even 2) monitors on any integrated/onboard GPU?
- Intel KB tells that this is possible at least on Windows.
- List of iGPUs from Apple.
- Wikipedia on Intel's HD and Iris graphics with regard to multiple monitors.
